Tech and Warfare:Drones
Technology its becoming more and more advanced everyday. Since our technology is becoming more advanced everyday all aspects of technology advance as well. One aspect of technology that is advancing rapidly is weapons. One weapon that is very new is drones. Drones are basically flying robots and are killing people without any human interaction. This is something that technology allows. Murder without seeing or doing any of the dirty work of killing someone. This cartoon explains perfectly the awful drone strikes in Syria and how people are being killed by robots who do not deserve to be eliminated.

I strongly agree with Connors view of drone. Drones post many positive and negatives to the new ages of technological warfare. One positive of drones, is it saves soldiers lives. Instead of sending them to dangerous battlegrounds they can send a mechanical plane to take out their target. On the other hand, the accuracy of drones is always questioned. There have been many instances when the drone assassinated civilians that were not related to the mission. Overall, I strongly believe drones pose benefits as they are improving daily.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Connor and Robert's view of drones as well. Drones may be positive because we can send them into war to do the dirty work instead of sending actual soldiers, however drones aren't 100% reliable. When we send a drone for an attack, it is pinpointing one specific area, however sometimes it isn't completely accurate and could kill some civilians by accident. I agree with Connor's statement that drones are, "Murder without seeing or doing any of the dirty work of killing someone."
