Revolution: "Solidarity against the Exploitation of Women"

One Billion Rising is a revolution that fights the exploitation of women. This revolution began in February 2012, and has become the largest action to stop violence against women in human history.

"1 in 3 women across the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. That’s ONE BILLION WOMEN AND GIRLS. Every February, we rise – in hundreds of countries across the world – to show our local communities and the world what one billion looks like and shine a light on the rampant impunity and injustice that survivors most often face."

There has been a lot of attention brought to the degradation and exploitation of women already in 2017. With the recent inauguration of President Donal Trump, many women, and men, have expressed that they've felt sickened by his negative and derogative comments towards many individuals, as well as groups of people. This revolution, although not targeting Trump, is a brilliant way to combat his (and many others') blatant disrespect of certain women.
