American Revolution

       The American Revolution was a vital part of United States History as we gained our independence from the Britsh Empire and it created the first modern democracy with a written constitution for The United States of America. This video, "America the Story of Us: American Revolution | History," explains how we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the Revolutionary War and it is an example of a war where the weaker contestant or the underdog won because the Americans were more determined to win. One of the main quotes I pulled fromt the video was, "The Britsh Army were fighting for a King, The Americans were fighting for their lives." I thought this was a really powerful quote because The Americans were actually fighting for something, which was for their lives and the right to live freely and it was the ultimate factor that lead to the United States Army winning the war. The Americans who fought in the American Revolution weren't just fighting for themselves, but for all future generations who now have the right to live under a democracy and most importantly, the right to live freely.
