The impact the Industrial Revolution had on families and women is tremendous. Women were now working outside the home which provided a major step in gender equality. This also forced children to be more independent with not having a mother around every second of the day.

  1. Robert, the article that you have linked has shown greatly the impact the industrial revolution has had on women. It shows how the jobs got the women out of the home and into the workforce. It showed that some jobs are better suited towards women and it showed men back then that women can definitely handle jobs that men handle.

  2. This is an excellent article that does a great job of explaining how much of an impact the industrial revolution had on women. The industrial revolution impact showed that women weren't just needed to work in their home's anymore, there were jobs that were better suited for women rather than men such as working in the mills. Then, the men could work in more labor intensive jobs such as mining or construction. This also meant that since both the husband and the wife could work, they were both making a steady income, which lead to better economic stability and it made it easier to support their families.
