Technology and Totalitarianism
Technology becomes more and more advanced everyday. As it becomes more advanced are government becomes more unable to track people on it. Since the government wants control over its constituents it will do what it wants to control them. This also means that they will break laws to control us. They can say its for the means of security, but the government doesn't catch much people with the unlawful searches. These searches can only lead to more problems with our society and as citizens we have to wonder, what is too far?

I agree with your statement Connor, that since technology is becoming a lot more advanced it's making it much harder for the goverment to track people. I definitely believe that the goverment taps people's phones without their consent all the time and they're doing that because they want as much control over us as possbile. That quote by Benjamin Franklin is a very strong statement because of how true it is. The goverment is willing to give up some of the liberty's that we deserve as Americans just so they can make sure they have the highest security possbile and this could definitely lead to losing both liberty and security among United States citizens.
